83% reduction in proposal time: Creating customer proposals now takes 10 minutes instead of one hour.
Global consistency achieved: One centralized, up-to-date parts library ensures uniformity across all teams and distributors.
Enhanced quality control: The configurator ensures accuracy and minimizes errors worldwide.
Boost in team engagement: Designing proposals has become more intuitive, streamlined, and fun.
The client
Wandfluh is an international manufacturer of mechanical precision parts and assemblies, known for its cross-sector hydraulic solutions. With a reputation for engineering excellence, they recently introduced the Proportional Mobile Valves (PMV) line — a modular concept designed for mobile and marine equipment. PMVs provide compact, configurable control of hydraulic actuators, enabling both robustness and customization with a minimal set of components.
The challenge
Launching a new line of modular valves also introduced a challenge: how to ensure this flexibility and customization wouldn’t become a time-consuming burden for Wandfluh’s internal teams and global distributors. Theoretically, every order could look different, which posed risks of inconsistent documentation, duplicated work, and potential errors during design or proposal creation. They needed a way to make customization fast, standardized, and scalable.
The solution — in collaboration with Paro
Wandfluh, already a long-time user of HydroSym, approached Paro Software with a challenge: how to integrate their modular PMV product line into HydroSym in a way that would save time and improve accuracy.
Together, the two teams innovated a new approach — a custom product configurator built directly inside HydroSym. This configurator allows users to select from predefined modules and options using intuitive drop-down menus, instantly assembling a complete schematic that reflects customer-specific requirements. All parts are preloaded into the system with a shared, centralized library, ensuring consistency across all Wandfluh teams and distributors worldwide.
“Instead of one hour, it takes 10 minutes to create a proposal for a customer. Besides the time saving, it’s fun! It also makes the process simply enjoyable.”
This innovation didn’t just enhance speed; it improved global quality control, minimized rework, and turned design into a more user-friendly experience.

Conclusion
This collaboration is a perfect example of what can happen when technological innovation meets a customer-first mindset. By combining Wandfluh’s modular design vision with Paro Software’s expertise in hydraulic tooling, we created a tailored solution that redefines how hydraulic systems are customized, shared, and scaled globally.
At Paro, we believe the future of industry lies in customization — and we’re proud to be building that future, one innovation at a time.
