Founded by Jos Paro

Jos had been working at Koninklijke Hoogovens, when he realised his skills could be most helpful by being a consultant. Ingenieursbureau Paro is born.

First version of HydroMan

Jos develops the first version of HydroMan on an HP.

Jos’s first hire was a young technical student, Frank Halma

Together, Frank and Jos further develop HydroMan: Frank works on the tech, and Jos works with the customers.

Sadly, Jos passed away

His wife, Margot, started working with Frank, evolving HydroMan so that engineers could  design their own manifolds.

Margot retires, and her son, Marc, joins Frank to lead Paro’s next steps

Together, Marc and Frank realize it’s much more powerful to use your schematic to define your manifold! They bring this system to life, and call it HydroSym.

Software development becomes a key focus of the business

Marc and Frank decide to rename the company: no longer just an engineering company, the new name Paro Software & Engineering reflects the new direction of the business.

Finally HydroSym is ready to launch!

Wouter sees the potential for the online Compontent Library

Until now, the library was only available on DVDs sent out yearly by Paro, meaning that updates couldn’t be accessed until the next year’s batch. Wouter had an idea: put the library online so customers all over the word could get updates instantly.

As the business grows the team wants to provide more specialized support

Paro Software and Paro Engineering become two separate companies, united under one team, serving diligent engineers from Haarlem to … Harlem!

After seeing the complexity and challenges of producing manifolds, the Paro team starts working on HydroCam

HydroCam generates drilling information automatically from HydroMan, feeding it directly into CNC machines, so every step of the process is smoother and optimized.

Since day one, we’ve been embracing innovation, working for our customers, and exploring the evolving edge of hydraulics
