Sustainability and Digitization are the Main Themes at Bauma Trade Fair this October

The upcoming Bauma 2022 Show in Germany has identified two main focus areas that will drive transformation in the construction and mining fields: sustainability and digitization. Companies that are aligned with this direction will be able to adapt and grow their business.

Sustainability is driving us to rethink every step of the process and find areas for improvement. In many cases, digitization is the key to making this transformation happen. To get us all thinking creatively before the show, Bauma and VDMA have developed a series of 5 talks to set the tone.

5 webinars to watch before attending Bauma

Industry experts will discuss a range of topics in 5 webinars, including future-oriented construction methods, sustainable raw material extraction, autonomous machines, the digital construction site, and emission-free construction. Here you can find the 5 webinars.

Overview of the main topics at Bauma 2022

This year Bauma is offering a program with presentations and discussions that delve deeper into the main themes:

  • Construction methods and materials of tomorrow

  • The way to autonomous machines

  • Mining – sustainable, efficient, reliable

  • Digital construction site

  • The way to Zero Emission

HydroSym and HydroMan for digitization of hydraulic design

On our side, we're playing a small part in digitizing hydraulics, which helps many of our users in their sustainability efforts. We recently explored the sustainability benefits of digitizing the hydraulic design process. Our HydroSym Software offers a faster and more reliable way to design hydraulic schematics, and it also streamlines communication with clients, suppliers, and vendors. With HydroMan and HydroCam, designing hydraulic manifolds of any size is now completely digital, including programming CNC machines for production.

Just a few years ago, the topics at this year's Bauma might have seemed futuristic, but with technology driving rapid transformation, we're making huge strides. Looking ahead, we'll be discussing ideas like the biologicalization of industry. After all, the most sustainable materials are those found abundantly in nature.
